Welcome to the Table
Hello, friend.
These letters began as a way to remember.
I’m Vael’aria Morningstar, writer of The Morningstar Letters.
For most of my life I have been a mother, a wife, a caretaker, a problem solver, and the person everyone called when things fell apart. Somewhere along the way I became an expert in taking care of other people and forgot to ask myself what I needed.
The Morningstar Letters began as an attempt to remember.
These letters are not written from a mountaintop. They are written from kitchen tables, park benches, long walks, sleepless nights, and ordinary afternoons. They are about motherhood, healing, recovery, faith, grief, joy, and the small moments that quietly change us.
I believe some of life’s deepest truths are hidden in ordinary things: a bowl of cereal, a handwritten note, a shared meal, a long drive, a conversation that lingers after it ends.
This is not a place for perfection.
It is a place for honesty.
My hope is that somewhere in these letters you find a piece of your own story reflected back to you and remember that you are not alone.
Welcome to the table.
